Welcome to St John Rigby Catholic Primary School

St John Rigby Catholic Primary School is located in the Putnoe area of Bedford. It is situated in beautiful, spacious grounds which provide the children with excellent open-air facilities for active learning as well as a natural resource for environmental work in the school.

The school is within the Diocese of Northampton and is part of the Our Lady Immaculate Catholic Academies Trust. It primarily serves the parishes of Holy Cross and SS Philip and James, St Frances Cabrini and other parishes in the Bedford Deanery.

As part of the Our Lady Immaculate Catholic Academies Trust, we work closely as a family of schools to ensure every single child in our care is provided with the best possible education and life skills: we flourish, we love and we aspire to be who God has called us to be.

St John Rigby Catholic Primary is a two-form entry school, serving up to 420 pupils from Reception to Year 6. We work in close partnership with our Catholic secondary school  St Thomas More, where the majority of our children move on to, providing an all through Catholic education that ensures our children are able to fulfil their potential and flourish at all stages of their education and beyond.

As a Catholic school, we are a family-orientated thriving community with extremely talented and dedicated members of staff, supportive parents and carers, and inspirational children who strive to live out our Gospel Values through everything they do. This is why our school is a happy and safe place to be. We pride ourselves on our warm, welcoming Catholic ethos and are proud of the special relationships the school holds with the Parish, community and parents.

If you would like to know more, please get in touch and we will be more than happy to arrange for you to come along and visit our school.
